Some of you may already know that plans have changed regarding our trip to Mozambique. We were suppose to leave Monday January 17, 2011 (as you can tell from our countdown). However, the field directors that Blake and I were to work with in Mozambique made a decision that now was not the best time for us to come over there. As a result our plans have been changed slightly and postponed. We still plan to serve in Mozambique although the when and how long is kind of up in the air right now. It was quite a big shock to Blake and I that what we planned on doing for the next six months was to be put on hold, but we realize that God has a reason for this and something better in store for us here. We would like to thank you all again for your prayers and financial help. We truly have been blessed. Sam Ministries will hold the money in trust until we do leave (right now there is discussion about possibly October 2011). We will keep you updated as we receive new information about our trip and plans that are made by the field directors, the board and us.
We do have some prayer requests now and that would be for Blake to find another job. His last one was only until Christmas, perfect when we thought we were leaving after Christmas, but now we need him to find more permanent work. Also we sold our car and we believe God allowed that to happen for a reason so we need discernment and wisdom regarding purchasing another one. As well just continued peace and trust with the new plan God is laying in front of us that we would be sensitive to His calling and be willing to respond as He directs.
